The Harsh English Bits

Writer's picture: Mia BadenhopMia Badenhop

What am I saying? There are English bits that are harsh? Yes, I am. Here are a few. There are more out there.

The first one is the Full Cheek D-ring triple bit. It is unnecessary to put that in to a horse's mouth.

Full cheek D-ring is pictured below.

Next is the Citation bit. It has two pieces to it and one piece can slide in the horses mouth.

The last one on this list is the Loose Ring Slow Twist with Bumps bit. It is fine with slow twist but to add bumps is a little much.

There are more out there but this is a few of them.
