How to Tell the Age of the Your Horse

Writer's picture: Mia BadenhopMia Badenhop

Do you want to find the age of your horse? You can tell their age by their teeth. How? Well, open their mouth and look at their incisors. There are cups on horses teeth and they start disappearing by age five and are completely gone on the bottom teeth by age 7 and completely gone on top by age 9. At age 10 there's a groove forming on the bottom back side of the teeth and by age 15 the groove goes halfway down. At age 20 the groove starts disappearing on the top teeth and by the age 25 the groove is only on the bottom. At the age 30 the grove is gone on the bottom.
