How to Make a Homemade Bridle For your Horse

Writer's picture: Mia BadenhopMia Badenhop

I decided that I wanted to make my horse a bridle instead of buying one. So I went to a second hand store and bought two belts. When I got home, I went to the barn and measured my horse's head. Then I put the belts on her head and made lines where I needed to put the screws to make the finished project fit. I then added holes to the one belt for the headstall and the second belt I turned into the brow-band and attached it to the headstall. I then put the bit on to the headstall. After all those steps you get a bridle.

1. Get the belts you want (2-3).

2. Measure your horse's head.

3. Put the belts on your horse's head to size correctly and make marks where the holes go.

4. Put the bridle together.

5. Put bit on.

6. Put on your horse.
