Horses are prey animals. They live in herds where there are leaders that look after the rest. They look out for danger and stay calm when danger shows up or when the others challenge her. As horse owners, we are the leaders. When we get mad at them, they get scared and start thinking this leader is scared so I need to take over for her. In order to stay calm and prove you can be the leader, make the horse move her feet till she listens to you. Another way you need to prove to them that you are a strong leader is don't scream, yell, hit, or whip them . The horse will lose trust in you if you do any of those things to it. You have to be calm even when they don't do what you want them to do. They are animals. They don't always know what we want so they do what they think we want them to do. Think if we did something we thought our friends wanted but then they hurt us because we thought and did wrong, do you think you would still trust them?
