When you know you have to be somewhere at a certain time, give yourself plenty of time to make sure you have everything that you will need and that your horse is all clean. After a rain storm my horse, Fortune, rolls in the mud and gets all covered in mud. I have already forgotten to clean her right away and then I remember right when we have to get on the road. I feel embarrassed when that happens because other people might see my dirty horse and think she was a shield in a two way mud fight.

This little thing apparently also loves her mud.
